Planet art in solidarity
Art of Change 21 solidarity action supported by Ruinart
Planète art solidaire is a solidarity action of the association Art of Change 21, with the support of the Maison Ruinart. Its aim is to help young artists committed to the environment and faced with the health crisis. A sum of 42,000 euros will be awarded next June to 21 winners (2,000 euros each) chosen by a prestigious jury.
In 2021, more than a year after the beginning of the pandemic, many artists are in difficulty, especially young artists. The association Art of Change 21, which specialises in the link between contemporary art and the environment, is fully aware of the negative impact of the pandemic on the projects and careers of artists working on the theme of the environment. Committed to them since 2014, the association was keen to respond to the current emergency and to help this young generation to get through this stage, with the planète art solidaire action, thanks to the patronage of the Ruinart House.
Together, they are targeting this aid to young artists who integrate the environment and its issues into their work. These artists contribute to a better understanding of our relationship with the living world (and thus the current pandemic) and foreshadow a more ecological future. Their awareness, commitment, but also their inventiveness and holistic vision must be preserved and activated, as the ecological crisis spreads worldwide.
The winners are chosen by a jury through a call for entries.
planète art solidaire is open to all contemporary artists (visual artists) over 18 and under 40, non-students and residents of France, for whom the environment is an important theme, if not the main theme of their work.
The selection criteria for the artists are threefold: the quality of their artistic approach, the place of the environment in their work and their financial situation in 2020.
The application form is in the form of a simple and quick questionnaire to fill in (this is not a call for projects).
