“Puro Teatro” is a reflection of how I feel as a young designer working in the current climate. The fashion industry and the world itself seem to be the biggest stage ever. Reality is overcoming fantasy and we are all part of this never ending performance, in which sometimes I feel constrained with everything that’s happening politically, with the pandemic and with a constant search for applause and attention. I feel that we are in the most beautiful cage, a velvet prison, the reason why I decided to entirely craft the collection with upcycled theatre curtains from all around the world.
