Divina De Campo

Divina De Campo is a British drag queen and singer. Most recently a finalist on the first season of RuPaul’s
Drag Race UK, which aired in October 2019, she’s also an established singer and has appeared on shows
such as The Voice and All Together Now. The drag star has also worked with the George House Trust, a
charity which supports young people who are living with HIV.
Divina lost her father-in-law Robert Yarwood after he had a stroke that was mis-diagnosed. Before
moving in with Divina and her partner Paul, he had worked as an engineer, a driver and had taught
in various colleges. After being admitted to hospital, he was eventually placed on the Liverpool
Care Pathway for the Dying Patient, which was a controversial end-of-life care practice in the UK
intended to help those with terminal illnesses die with dignity.
“In the UK we have such an unhealthy way of dealing with death, we don’t even really
acknowledge it. I think a change in the attitude of not talking about things would help pretty much
everything”
