Digital Milan: joy giving by SUNNEI Canvas SS2021

Dear Shaded Viewers & Diane,

Canvas, SUNNEI’s test flight for spring/summer 2021 part one is more than just a stopover somewhere in a nearby galaxy to brainstorm. It is Italian fashion’s born-again brightness. The recent digital experiment orbited just far enough from mother earth to provide a patient, momentary, and clear-cut glance of “the blue marble” in order to reevaluate the times in which we live.

The unisex collection’s infinite combinations, all extracted from current and past SUNNEI products and dead-stock fabrics, can be customized according to climates and clients’ needs. It will be available at thirty exclusive retailers.

The Milano-based design duo has managed to entwine their insignia with “Made in Italy” quite admirably, resulting in the creation of a new category within fashion’s opulence that is distant from the Italian traditional luxury houses. It strategically features a fresh, autonomous journey far from the fashion history that the city has been attempting to renovate for years. Consumers are anxious to witness the revamped luminosità markets and to eventually have the honor of wearing Made in SUNNEI.

[Chorus:]

Give happiness to your body Macarena

’cause your body is for giving happiness and nice things to

Give happiness to your body Macarena

Heeey,… Macarena! Aaay!

(repeat once)

Time-honored Italian suiting, if not already blown away by solar winds, will be replaced by this brand’s enduring and characteristic fluidity in tailoring. Half of the video accompanying this unique 3D season is about how SUNNEI approaches space, seen for example with some models having a hand-in-bag with a signature handbag. (I certainly wouldn’t mind wearing thermo-spherical garments that can survive high temperatures as I head to the International Space Station, encapsulated inside a white leather duffle LABULETTO bag!)

Coincidentally, Canvas Part One arrives almost in tandem with flight crew Dragon Demo-2’s departure, both launching into space for research into the enormous abyss. Creative directors Loris Messina and Simone Rizzo propose that we first compress all ideas for facilitating a fit fashion system into a pressurized container, and once its launched begin to dance for its achievements. Indeed, neither male, female nor nonbinary avatar forgot to spin to Los Del Río’s 1993 energy hit “Macarena” even when observing our promising planet’s future from space.

Best,

Marcelo Horacio Maquieira Piriz.
