Etudes S/S 2021 takes you on a walk through Paris like a local

Dear Shaded Viewers,

VIDEO NOTE Directed by Grégoire Dyer, a sequential film charts a passage of silhouettes through the 20th arrondissement of Paris, where the ÉTUDES team live and work. As each protagonist replaces the last in a game of sliding doors, natural reflections arise as the collection’s airbrush elements mirror the urban graffiti of the neighbourhood.

ENVIRONMENTAL NOTE A discerning effort has been made to render signature ÉTUDES tailoring and outerwear separates in recycled and eco-friendly fabrics, favouring raw materials and avoiding excessive wash and machine dye processes. Pinstripe linen, brown rainbow jacquard and recycled nylon join classic ÉTUDES gabardine as the foundations for patch-pocket tailoring, wide leg work trousers and utility jackets.

CHARITY NOTE The collection title ‘YES FUTURE’ was also applied to the ÉTUDES photographic print sale in April 2020 established to raise funds for «All United Against Coronavirus» – an alliance between the Fondation de France, Assistance Publique-Hôpitaux de Paris (AP-HP) and the Institut Pasteur. ÉTUDES called upon 138 photographers to each donate one photograph in an edition of 10 signed, unframed prints that raised over 130,000€ euros for the cause.
