Being on lockdown in my studio with all the tools I use to create from music to image, and so much time on my hands, I wanted to make a project in which I would play all the roles, from set building to post production. I explored the character of my own personal witch through a series of stills and simple actions depicting symbolically the range of emotions felt in our isolated state : boredom, anger, loneliness, creativity, self contemplation, meditation, peace and stillness… The emptiness facing us with our fears and our capacity to overcome them through play, and the realisation that in the end, we are just dirt; Which is at the same time scary and incredibly magical.
Clara is Multi. She embraces mystery and creates manifestations of her singular persona through her polymorph talents and works. From music to sculptures, paintings to videos or photographs, installations and performances, she likes to create every aspect of an idea, role playing all the parts through her creative process. She likes to scratch the surface and look within to find the “skull beneath the skin”.
