RIP Chrisophe, the iconic French pop star and remembering him with Loane at ASVOFF 8

Dear Shaded Viewers,

I was sad to read that the author of “Aline” and the “Blue Words” died on Thursday at the age of 74. Aline’s career as a decadent, obsessive “beau bizarre”, decadent singer and obsessive songwriter, with its string of gleaming hits and haunting songs, has taken him to the top of the French pop pantheon, between Gainsbourg and Bashung.

The French singer/songwriter and friend of ASVOFF, Loane brought Christophe to the stage of ASVOFF 8 at Centre Pompidou as a surprise guest. It was a very moving moment and especially delighted the Parisian guests. I was sitting next to ASVOFF 8’s President, Jean Paul Gaultier who had the most beautiful surprise smile when Christophe came out and sat at the piano with Loane.

RIP.

Later,

Diane
