Jean Paul Gaultier’s Joy Fest – the end of an era

All photos by Sonny Vandevelde

Dear Shaded Viewers,

It might have started with a funeral but there was nothing to cry about, in fact it was the complete opposite. It was all about joy and happiness and the expansive mind of Jean Paul Gaultier. It is hard to believe that one man could come up with so many ideas for five decades. There was emotion, JPG’s family of talent and models, the vast history of a man that has never stopped creating from the time he was a child re-modeling his teddy bear. The joy fest ended with Boy George performing and happiness was in the air. There was a cocktail followed by a party…but the party got under way at 23h30 and I needed to head home and write to you.

Later,

Diane
