Dear Shaded Viewers,
La Maison Europeenne de la Photographie has been turned into Maison Marocaine de la Photographie. This is the first retrospective in France of Hassan Hajjaj. ASVOFF screened his documentary Karima: A day in the life of the Henna Girl in ASVOFF 8 thanks to an introduction to his work by my jury member Butheina Kazim of Cinema Akil.
The exhibition is divided into 4 parts. Espace 1 – Vogue: The Arab Issue, Espace 2 – Installation U-Lot, Series “Legs”, “Gnawi Riders” and “Kesh Angels”, Espace 3 is My Rockstars and Espace 4 – Black and White.
