I met one of the owners of Antica Liberia Cascianelli a few years ago one hot summer in Rome. I was walking with my friend Ari Seth Cohen when he spotted Valentina La Rocca and of course wanted to photograph her and her mother. I met Valentina again in December while going through customs in Shanghai on our way to a Gucci cultural event, the closing of the Maurizio Cattelan powered by Alessandro Michele exhibition.

A few days ago I was in Rome for Alta Roma and was determined to pay Antica Libreria Cascianelli a visit.
