Happy to tell you about Gustavo Ten Hoever. Decades ago we worked together at JOYCE, Hong Kong. Well, we were both based in Paris. He was always my photographer of choice and happily I still live surrounded by his photos.
The Uruguayan embassy in Paris, and ARC Fin Art LLC, presents a photographic retrospective of Uruguayan photographer Gustavo Ten Hoever.
The exhibition shows 25 images including some of the most emblematic pieces of the artist : one of the great exponents of romantic contemporary photography.
Through his lens we are offered a view of nature that is at once beautiful and strange . Ten Hoever works through a broad range of photographic styles and genre, and his pictures are significantly influenced by literature and poetry.
In the end, it is the calm and dreamy nature of his images that affect viewers most.
