Frank Horvat at in camera galerie Text and photos by Marco de Rivera

Dear Shaded Viewers,

In camera galerie  presents a set of prints by Frank Horvat around the theme of women, including the famous lady in a Givenchy’s hat. The images were realised in or out of the studio and always taking advantage of the unforseen.  These photographs show how Horvat was freed from the codes of the times … “I photographed the fashion with a bad conscience”, says Frank Horvat. The photographer will be celebrating his 90th birthday soon. This is not a confession, this polyglot has never hidden his passion for the work dear to Henri Cartier-Bresson. Horvat even adds with a radiant smile, “I would have liked to look like him”. Like Cartier-Bresson, he once belonged to the Magnum agency.
