“A spiral is a circle that goes up or down. For me, this spiral is a circle going up representing evolution” David Lynch. Christian Dada is designed by Masanori Morikawa merging Eastern and Western design elements. Lynch’s Spiral painting inspired textile Nishiijin-Ori an oriental kimono fabric from Kyoto. The textiles are hand stitched indigo-dyed pieces ofcloth assembled together to replicate the rare Japanese patchwork fabric, Boro.
