Dear Diane, Dear Shaded Viewers,
It has been ages since I last posted something on Diane’s blog… I will try to post some more news from Japan once I am back.
Last week, I visited DOCUMENTA14 in Kassel. Last time that I visited DOCUMENTA12 it was 10 years ago(!), I remember that it was really inspiring for me so I promised myself that I would go back for the next edition. Even though I was living in Paris 5 years ago, I did not go – don’t know why but this year, I thought I would visit it again.
To be honest, it was less exciting than I had expected – I guess it was too political for me. Maybe I should have read and studied a little more before I visited. However it gave me a chance to think about how we are living in this 2017.
Here are some highlights – there are some impressive works missing from my photos, like Maria Eichhorn and Miriam Cahn. Please visit DOCUMENTA14 before it closes on 17 September. You still have whole summer to visit Kassel!
