Dear Shaded Viewers,
UPWW is an offshoot of Utility Pro which has been around since 2002 developing high visibility safety apparel in the US. But…it took till AW 2017 for me to discover U.P.W.W. research division via my friend Alessandro Simonetti the Italian born/New York based artist who collaborated with Utility Pro to create a collection of high visibility work wear with his photography and that of other artists. This is the second season for the brand and it has already doubled in sales.
Giorgia Cantarini and I visited Alessandro Simonetti in the UPWW Research showroom.
