Dear Shaded Viewers,
Kehinde Wiley had his first solo show in France at the Petit Palais – Lamentaion. Wiley presented ten pieces of stain glass works and paintings some of them were created in his signature style of posing anonymous youths from urban centers in the same way the subjects in classical portraiture were presented. The African American artist continues his use of religious iconography including, for the first time, a reference to the Virgin Mary.
Later,
Marco de Rivera
