Dear Shaded Viewers,
Sculpture by David Valencourt at OUTCASTS INCORPORATED
In 1999 Stanley Kubrick directed the film Eyes Wide Shut, in 2016 the first collaboration between the adventurous and, always out of the box duo, david Magnin & géraldine Postel , gave birth to their first creation: Les Yeux Grand Ouverts .
Their goals: shake up the art world establishment in Paris and shed some light on new and lesser known French and Parisian talents.
Breaking away from the boredom and conventions, they introduce a particular type of humour and self derision into a world that capital has to often reduced to decorative and speculation purposes.
A Post Dada spirit and opening performance gives voice to our contemporary landscape setting the pace @ OUTCASTS INCORPORATED.
The curators have put together 22 artists with an opening performance by Orion Giret that more or less set the gallery on fire with a burnt ignition thread quote a piece by Présence Panchounette in a performance that set the ignition thread on fire. The guests in the gallery filled their lungs with the warm air full of smoke and and had a good laugh at the burning message : I promise never to make art again.
I Promise to Never Make Art Again – after a piece of Présence Panchounette / performance by Orion Giret from a series on takeit.to by Paul Mouginot
