This morning I was reading an article on BOF from How to Spend it and I was happy to read that the glass artist Hugh Findletar will be making commissioned portraits in glass in the new LEclaireur shop in LA. All of his portrait vases are made in Murao. Hugh Findletar is from Jamaica via NYC now based in Italy for the past quarter of a century. He has been working with glass for the past decade and is i LOVE with Glass.
The American portrait artist believes that the love he has for the material will grant that the pieces have an eteral life. His face shaped vases are made of Murano Glass, the Venetian island with a heritage in glass-making. He works with Oscar Zaneti, the finest glass master of Murano. His FLOWERheadZ are available at L’Eclaireur in Paris, 10 rue Boissy d’Anglais and soon can be commissioned in the new L’Eclaireur store in Los Angeles.
