The black, grey and white installation of Itvan Kebadian and Dominique Quessada unfolds on the walls of Dominique Fiat’s gallery in Paris. While questioning notions of space and limit, the duo works in a very articulate and complementary mode.
Kebadian paints and draws with spray paint, black ink and pencil. The superposition of his scenes, on calques, on paper, on buildings ; from outside to inside where your eye can dive into giant storyboard scenes, of what seems to be a civilization in collapse and slow-motion destruction. Towns partially ruined, abandoned staircases, industrial areas, bridges and hills, clouds and dust. The strangely apocalyptic ambiances of Itvan Kebadian are punctuated by Quessada’s narration with collages of sentences extracted from his novel l’Ins
