VANESSA BRUNO FALL/WINTER 2016/2017 SHOWROOM – BY JALEESA THIJM

Dear Diane and Shaded Viewers,

Vanessa Bruno opened her showroom for the press to take a peek at. The Autum Winter 2016/2017 was nicely placed and presented. The aim of the designs of Vanessa Bruno is to dress women during the day and making it easy to transition into night life or other occasion. The main inspiration came from folklore feel from eastern Europe, this was the core of the collection as it came back in the way of embellishing, knitted patterns, use of colour and small details like mirrors on the sweaters and pleated skirts. The prints for this collection was inspired by no other than Joni Mitchell and Vittorio Zecchin to give the garments a feel of the 70’s decade. The leather bags are two toned in a contrast manner using materials like wood as the detailing, making the bags durable and time-less. While wandering in the showroom the visitor will be embraced with fuchsia, deep red, blue and green tones.

Best,

Jaleesa
