Tuesday night, I was at the Paley Center for Media for the PaleyFest NY screening and discussion of the new television series "Ash vs. Evil Dead".
Based on the 1981 movie "Evil Dead" (and "Evil Dead 2" & "Army of Darkness") the television series picks up where the movies left off, with the lead character Ash Williams battling the forces of evil – in a gory and humorous way.
I am a big fan of the movies so, I was really happy to see the "Ash vs. Evil" series premiere episode and cast members at this year's PaleyFest.
In attendance were director Sam Raimi and actor Bruce Campbell from the original movies.
Joining them were actress Lucy Lawless, actor Ray Santiago, actresses Jill Marie Jones & Dana DeLorenzo plus series show runner Craig DiGregorio.
The premiere episode was fun with the audience catching up with now a 50-something year old Ash accidentally setting free the evil forces after a night of partying.
Hopefully, the series catches on with viewers and continues for more seasons.
