Sunday evening, I was at the Paley Center for Media for PaleyFest NY's event with the cast & creators of the television series "Pretty Little Liars".
I have to admit that I've never seen the television series and know nothing about it – except my youngest niece is a fan of the show.
From what I gathered, the show is based on a book by the same name – and centers around five young girls who have bonded until the leader of their group disappears.
That makes sense that the story is about young girls, since the audience was comprised of mostly teenagers and girls in their early 20's.
So, that made me feel….old.
The program began with clips from the previous season finale and the first four minutes of the upcoming series season premiere.
Once again – I couldn't follow what was going on – but, the audience certainly seemed excited.
After the clips, the show creator I. Marlene King, the producers Oliver Goldstick & Joe Dougherty plus cast members Lucy Hale, Ashley Benson, Troian Bellisario & Sasha Pieterse engaged in ninety minute discussion and Q&A session with the audience.
Even after all of that – I still didn't know what was going on.
I guess, it's the price of getting old.
