Dear Diane and Shaded Viewers,
Larry Clark and Eugene Riconneaus joined their forces to create “New Work” a photo series and art installation, which revolves around the dark side of the skateboard scene. Sex, drugs and wheels were clearly present while looking at the photographs. The images were layered with the wheel tracks of the skateboards placed upon the photographs making the images mysterious and dimensional. Larry Clark and Eugene Riconneaus wanted to portray the adolescence and darkness of teens that are part of the scene. The skateboards tracks were also used in an art installation, leaving their marks in vibrant colours on clear white paper provided by EPSON. The exibition, directed by Geraldine Postel, is open for visitors until April 25 at Outcast Studio & Gallery, 2 rue des Francs Bourgeois Paris.
