HED MAYNER FALL WINTER 15/16 – TEXT BY PHILIPPE POURHASHEMI PHOTOS BY CECILE BORTOLETTI

Dear Shaded Viewers,

A talented newcomer on the growing Paris menswear scene, Hed Mayner already has a world and language of his own, crafting impeccably tailored pieces in deluxe materials. Based in Tel-Aviv, Mayner grew up in a small village located in the North of Israel near the Lebanese border and started sewing from the age of 16, making his own patterns and garments. Mayner reworks authentic menswear staples, which subtly blend the sacred with the traditional, combining utility and formality. His roomy jackets and coats are essential pieces, as well as his refined shirting and loose pleated pants. The designer's relative isolation from the fashion circus has given him a rich and singular view, coupled with his beautiful use of volumes and proportions. You can view his full collection at Galerie Gosserez on 3 rue Debelleyme, 75003 Paris, until the 29th of January.

Best,

Philippe
