SEOUL FASHION WEEK SS/15 – LEIGH – TEXT BY PHILIPPE POURHASHEMI

Dear Shaded Viewers,

Sleek, focused and sharp, Leigh's last collection was one of the best menswear offerings presented during Seoul Fashion Week. Elegant tailoring is one of Sanghyun Leigh's key strengths, but he modernized it this time by using new proportions and crisp textures. Contrasting piping was one of the designer's signatures, evoking the optimism and simple lines of the 1960s. Grids recalled the architectural beauty of modern Seoul buildings, while smart layering made the outfits relevant. Despite being streamlined and minimal, the designer's clothes were innovative and had plenty of energy as well.

Best,

Philippe
