Laurie Simmons (who also happens to be the mother of a Ms. Lena Dunham), designed the surreal poster depicting a staircase with human legs. Simmons is  most known for staging photographs with paper dolls, finger puppets and dummies.

David Fincher's "Gone Girl" will open the 52nd New York Film Festival, the Film Society of Lincoln Center announced today that Paul Thomas Anderson’s "Inherent Vice" will make its world premiere as the Centerpiece gala selection on Saturday, October 4. The festival runs from September 26-October 12.
