Dear Diane, Dear Shaded Viewers,
I am glad to share with you "Ni", the second line of Nattofranco SS15 collection (to complete with the Tees and Jumpers "Ichi" line).
I remember I started to talk with Diane about the theme when it was at the very beginning of the development process.
For a while I've been researching a certain aesthetic based on the fantasy of the Female bodies in Japanese Illustrations and Futuristic animations from the 80's, and decided to focus on the representation of ficticious female characters, sometimes representing them as goddess or superwomen. I found inspiration in different series of work, like Peter Sato's and Shusei Nagaoka's,
"Ni" suggests a "connect the dots" representation of the curves and lines of the women bodies; It creates a subliminal print. The garments are loose and for the most part the tops are unisex. My fabrics are functional like rugbyman jersey or Motocross breathable textile.
