Pitti Uomo Diary

Dear Diane and Shaded Viewers,

Yesterday morning I continued my Pitti Uomo adventures at the press preview of the capsule collection that Nick Wooster, the former buyer, street style blog regular and all around bon vivant, created for the Italian suit-maker Lardini. Since Lardini is known for their perfectly cut jackets, Wooster told me that he wanted to throw a bit of a wrench in the whole thing by concentrating on imperfections. Thus he had some fabrics washed, shrunk and submitted to other indignities not usually suffered at the hands of traditional Italian tailors. The result – a wardrobe consisting of three styles of jackets, pants, shorts, shirts, ties, and one pair of Vans-look-alikes looked more casual and relaxed, and I am all for taking people out of their comfort zone.

Best,

Eugene

P.S. If you look carefully at the last photo you will see that the embroidery is the by now iconic Wooster mug. Cute.
