Dear Diane and dear Shaded Viewers,
This Saturday the Fashion & Textiles Department at the Royal Academy of Art (KABK) in The Hague presents its graduation show in the Atrium of The Hague City Hall.
In 2013 the avant-garde designer Jurgi Persoons from Antwerp was appointed as head of department. Having taught in Chicago and Berlin, in The Hague Persoons will be working with the complete team of lecturers to further develop the creative vision in order to present a strong and international identity.
The Textile and Fashion programme at the KABK is characterized by a unique collaboration between textile design and fashion design. The creative design approach of the fashion students is combined with the ingenious and material-oriented approach of the textile students. The graduation show contains the complete collections of the 4th year students and smaller collections from the 2nd and 3rd year students as well as form and material studies from the 1st year students.
Looking forward to see you all in The Hague this Saturday!
