Tom at the Farm – text by Silvia Bombardini

Dear Shaded Viewers and Diane,

They call them psychosexual thrillers, and we might get ready to see more of them. A raw, gory and raspy tendency of recent gay cinema, those who have watched Alain Guiraudie's Stranger by the Lake will know what to picture. Even Xavier Dolan, Quebecois golden boy of new queer cinema, who if you weren't living under a rock these past few years you'll remember for youthfully indulgent, romantic and very successful fables such as I Killed My Mother, Heartbeats or Laurence Anyways, seems to have sailed his ship to much darker shores. For the best. On the bus to Cine Lumi
