Birds of Paradise: Costume as Cinematic Spectacle Edited by Marketa Uhlirova, Koenig Books London Book design by Laurenz Brunner Studio

Dear Shaded Viewers,

It is funny, years ago Robb Young wanted to write a book called Birds of Paradise and it was going to be about 3 women: Isabella Blow, Anna Piaggi and Me. Well, the book never got written and the other two women have left this dimension. However great title and I just received the notice that Marketa Uhlirova is launching her new book: Birds of Paradise: Costume as Cinematic Spectacle. There are essays by Lucy Fischer,Inga Fraser, Ronald Gregg, Sumiko Higashi, Catherine Hindson, Esther Leslie, Giovanni Lista, Eugenia Paulicelli, Ryan Powell, Jody Sperling, Juan A. Suarez, Karl Toepfer and Marketa Uhlirova.

The book will be launched at Central Saint Martins May 6th.

Later,
