From February 18-20 Maglifico has organized HERITAGE FUTURISTIC: an installation of knitwear pieces curated by Federico Poletti in collaboration with the Italian international center of fashion documenation, Modateca Archive Deanna and the Architect Francesca Fornasari.
Poletti has selected 20 pieces from the collections of Maison Martin Margiela, Azzedine Alaia, Claude Montana, Versace, Marina Spadafora, Julian McDonald and will take you through a journey of innovative and iconic designers of the past and present – Sandra Backlund, PierLuigi Fucci, Ilaria Nistri, Paolo Errico and Giovanni Cavagna.
The exhibition show the natural evolution of two-dimensional geometric patterns and three-dimensional shapes and sculptures that redefine the traditional interpretation of the silhouette. The exhibition also illustrates the close links between technology and creation.
