Dear Shaded Viewers,
David Armstrong's The Dark Parade Steps Off at CONTEXT Art Miami touring exhibition goes from 3-8 December.
Casa de Costa's presentation is the first public opportunity to survey the otherworldly sculptures situated among a collection of rare photographs. The Dark Parade highlights the breadth of Armstrong's artistic activity. The sculptures evoke the early assemblages of German Dadaist, Raoul Hausmann and the bricolage cabinets of American Surrealist, Joseph Cornell. Jason Costa, President and Founder of Casa de Costa considers David one of the most influential American photographers in the past two decades with many of his longtime fans unaware of the scope of his creative output.
