Laura Albert

Laura Albert is the author of Sarah, Harold's End and the story collection The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things, all published under the name J T LeRoy. Her writing has been published in the New York Times, the London Times, Spin, Interview, Vogue, Rolling Stone, Black Book and ASVOF. Albert wrote the original screenplay for Gus Van Sant's Elephant and has written for the HBO series Deadwood. She was born and raised in Brooklyn and lives in San Francisco and was the first person I asked to be on the ASVOFF 6 jury.
