One of the best days in Puglia was the visit of Polignano a Mare. An impressive statue of Domenico Modugno stands at the entrance of the village. He's famous for his song Volare which was dedicated to this city. Wierd place too, typical and traditional on one side, and some more recent constructions in another part of it with desert streets, and a dead lunapark in the middle of nowhere.
