Visit at Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam – by Noemie Sebayashi

Dear Diane, dear Shaded Viewers,

For my last day in beautiful Amsterdam I took a walk to the Stedelijik Museum, the home of Modern and Contemporary Art and Design in Amsterdam. Designed by A.W. Weissman in 1895 , the three floor building regroups Art works from the early 20th century up to the 21st century, with paintings, sculptures, the lower level floor shows films and videos in a quiet and intimate dark gallery space. At the end of the visit, a library and a restaurant allows visitors to enjoy and observe the impressive architecture of the museum, the entrance is very well enlightened, the terrasse of the restaurant is protected under the massive Benthem Crouwel Wing.
