Polimoda, imagine if this was where you went to fashion school?

Dear Shaded Viewers,

Last month I reported on my visit to Florence for the fist Europeana Fashion Conference and a great introduction to this great initiative to save Europe's fashion culture and to make it readily available to everyone. If you have yet to visit the site, go there now http://www.europeanafashion.eu/. It is a great and growing resource gathering together the archives from museums, libraries, galleries and houses, it includes documents, illustrations, videos, etc. and makes for an interesting and profound dip into the European fashion culture. To celebrate the first conference Linda Loppa, the director of Polimoda, hosted a wonderful dinner and she also gave me a private tour of the building.
