Riccardo Tisci brought his Latino men into the rock world in a dark candle lit setting that had a church like fragrance while Tisci revisited his obsession with America, the Latin attitude and the Mapplethorpe iconography. The silhouettes are a mix of high couture with utility workwear. You feel the Mapplethorpe influence more in the black and white imagery than in the casting. Starched leather is paired with charcoal tweeds contrasting shiny and matte textures. An x-ray print of the Stars & Stripes appear on a velvet sweatshirt.
