I took my rescue toy spaniel for a walk and wander during lunch. Those rare rain clouds above do cast a lovely light on Lake Hollywood, aka the Hollywood Reservoir. Cactus in foreground. Burbank in background.

Dear Diane, Dear Shaded Viewers,

Greetings from just below the Hollywood sign.

Here are a few shots of moments from the past few days.

I took a little excursion during lunch just up the hill from my bungalow today to have some peace in nature. Rain in LA adds a layer of quiet. People do not leave their homes or offices as much.

Mushroom infinity forest. On the ground, I fantasized about being Alice in Wonderland and that hookah smoking Caterpillar. I also thought about Thumbelina.

It never loses its amazement to me that in one direction I can encounter a deer, hawk, or coyote in total solitude, while going just a couple of miles in the opposite direction I will be bombarded with other wildlife such as street fortune tellers, men dressed in homemade Superman costumes, and lost tourists taking photos on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

"The Color of Pomegranates" is a terrific film. These are just growing on a tree nearby.

The beautiful inside and out, incredibly talented architect Alejandra Lillo Flaig of Undisclosable, here with my munchkin dog and her Retriever beauty by the LA River in Atwater Village.

I hope all is well with each and every one of you out there.

Love and blessings,

Jessica
