FILM SYNOPSIS:

This debut film for Haute Coiffure Charlie Le Mindu taps tribal ritual and contemporary performance in an explosive dual between man and woman expressed through choreography. Taking Le Mindu’s designs as the creative catalyst, the piece contrasts raw masculine animalism against a hyper-feminine army of sleek goddesses.

DIRECTOR’S BIO:

Chris Sweeney’s work crosses boundaries between performance, drama and observational documentary to create a heightened synthesis of aesthetic styles. Showing a naturalistic purity while amplifying emotional resonance through visually arresting composition, Sweeney’s filmed pieces oscillate between fantasy and reality. Previous collaborations include a series of art films for YSL shot as both solo works and in conjunction with Sarah Chatfield.
