FILM SYNOPSIS:
The ballad of Genesis and lady Jaye follows the story of the artist Genesis Breyer P-Orridge and his wife and artist partner, Lady Jaye. In 2000, he started a series of operations in order to look like Lady Jaye as much as possible, a risky, ambitious and subversive performance, and finally an act of love and devotion.
DIRECTOR’S BIO:
Marie Losier is born in France in 1972. She has realized several avant-garde portraits of artists and musicians like George Kuchar, Guy Maddin, Richard Foreman, Tony Conrad and Genesis P.Orridge. Her films explore their life and work. Her films are regularly presented at renowned festivals and museums; she lives and works in New York.
