Handsome, charming and talented, Roland Mouret understands women and what they need to feel good. You just have to watch him with a few female fans to realize how quickly they fall for him and his rugged good looks. The same could be said of his Galaxy dress, which clients -and many celebrities- went crazy for when it was first shown in 2005. Despite having lived in London for more than two decades, Mouret is undeniably French, displaying an analytical outlook with a flair for sensuality. One of his new design challenges is Robert Clergerie, a prestigious footwear brand, which he joined last year as creative director. In this exclusive interview, he talks about his vision for the French house, being comfortable as a foreigner and why he loves living in London.

A freelance fashion writer, consultant and stylist, Philippe Pourhashemi was born in Tehran in 1976. He grew up in Paris, before moving to Scotland to study Foreign Languages. His passions are fashion and culture, as well as music and film. He writes and styles features for Metal in Barcelona, Behind the Blinds in Brussels, Contributor in Stockholm, Veoir in New York and SKP in Beijing. He was named Fucking Young's Editor-at-Large in 2016 and has contributed to ASVOF since 2008, acting as Correspondent-at-Large since 2012. An avid traveler, he likes to explore exotic fashion weeks and unexpected destinations whenever he can.
