Dear shaded viewers,
In early September, we had met Nicola Formichetti just as he was coming back from holidays in Borneo. It was the last of many tropical travels this past year, which have left him under a durable hot charm.
In that spirit, the collection of thirty and a few looks he directed for Mugler's 2013 summer gave la part belle to short and shorter skirts.
The show started with light textiles and rich browns, sometimes interrupted by a few vibrant yellow or blue looks. As it progressed, there were more varnish and leather, the shoes by Massaro for Mugler especially began to evoke shells of sea turtles, and the new Mugler bag line was introduced.
Oh, and for those that still had cold feet after this presentation, there were also a few pants and rare longer sleeves.
