Geraldine GOmez, Estaban and Audrey
Dear Shaded Viewers,
It was like an amusement ride going from the Venice airport with Geraldine Gomez from Centre Pompidou and her son Estaban and Audrey. The boat was going so fast even the water police came by to give the driver a warning. We all enjoyed it, none the less.
The Certosa Hotel is not exactly convenient nor beautiful and even worse, no internet in the rooms, impossible for me and the only way to move is by boat but none is really provided so you take the water taxi and Certosa, the island with nothing on it but this hotel and a boat yard,is not a normal stop. Everything is complicated here, beyond complicated to move around. I think the only way to see Venice is with a boat at your disposal and a nice hotel. Otherwise it is a bit back packing mood. So, arrived and left my bags and David, who had arrived the night before, and Mario Salvucci, creator of my spider pins, and I left our little not so special island and went to Lido on route to discover the San Nicolo Monastery where Circuito Off is Held and where the ASVOFF screening was held.

Getting back to our little forgotten island after the screening is total hell. There is supposed to be a bus that takes you to Lido but it never came and Geraldine suggested we use our legs and walk for 20 minutes, that was fine with me since I had Mario to carry my heavy bag.
Once we made it to Lido, David, Mario and I had to call the hotel water taxi to come pick us up as there is no service to our little island after 8pm. You get in the little boat and you sit like a hunchback because the top of it is so low, lucky we can laugh.
Later,
Diane
