THis season the focus was on the contrasts that play against each other in order to reveal the beauty of the woman.
The opulence of the gypsy world meets the pure lines of the 1960s. Rich and elaborate materials and techniques interact with graphic simplicity. Cocoon-capes feature braided leather with metal rings or an intricate red beaded embroidered motif that extend onto black and red beaded fringes.
Short kimono or stole-like sleeves in leather or fur give a geometric accent to the collection. Column dresses are embellished with tassels of leather or silk fringes. Plucked mink is shaved to create a motif that is lacquered in red or laser cut to form a fur lace embroidered with red caged crystals and red leather-covered crystals.
The restrained color palette of black, brown and beige is highlighted by touches of scarlet red. Monochromatic silhouettes alternate the sheen of braided nappa or leather fringes along with the intensity of suede or silk velvet.
