Dear Shaded Viewers and Diane,

A curiously assorted, curiously relaxed irresistible crowd gathered together earlier tonight at RA in Paris, in a luminous and delighted half-circle before Andrea Cammarosano's little theatre of swinging polka-dots. Walter Van Beirendonck was there, who Andrea used to assist in his early days after an unfailing Antwerp Academy graduation, before happily moving to San Francisco where he currently lives and works. There were Sayoko and Stephane and Shinya Midnite, Kokon To Zai's Sasha Bezovski and Marjan Pejoski, Marite Mastina and Rolands Peterkops from Latvia, Mundi Vondi from Iceland and Thoas Lindner from Berlin. Andrea Cammarosano's "Invisible Bestfriend" show and performance featured two pensive, silky characters deeply absorbed in a silent dressing-up game, somehow longing for one another and yet blissfully blind to anyone but the photographers leaning over the stage. Andrea's spring 2013 collection offers free, joyful combinations of bright contrasting outlines and handmade prints, a lot of mustard, and a precious sartorial quality of Italian roots hidden just below a wildly casual attitude.
