Dear Shaded Viewers,

On my last day in New York City as a guest of Persol and their Magnificent Obsessions exhibition, I raced up to the Metropolitan Museum of Art to take in the beauty of one of my fashion idols, Elsa Schiaparelli and a contemporary one, Prada.

The exhibition was inspired by Miguel Covarrubias's satirical "Impossible Interviews" for Vanity Fair in the 1930's, the curators Harold Koda and Andrew Bolton orchestrate the conversations between these two icons to suggest new readings of the designers' most innovative work. Film Director, screenwriter and producer Baz Luhrmann is the exhibition's creative consultant and he is the one that created a series of filmed elements for the exhibition. Nathan Crowley served as production designer and all mannequin heads and masks are designed by Guido Palau.
