ArtEZ in Arnhem, NL | Graduation Show 2012

Dear Diane and Shaded Viewers //

Last week Thursday, after Vienna's Applied Arts and before Antwerp's Royal Academy of Fine Art's academic fashion shows, I made a quick stop in Arnhem, NL to attend the graduation fashion show of ArtEZ. The school nestled in a quaint dutch town has shaped many notable names in fashion such as Viktor & Rolf, Iris van Herpen who shows on the Paris Couture calendar and a new rising star Maarten van der Horst (who is recently making a splash on the London stage with his outrageous prints) – to name just a few.

Beyond the art academy, Arnhem is home to the Arnhem Mode Biennale – most recently curated by my dear friend JOFF. Considering this, I was eager to take in the local talents and see what is forthcoming in dutch fashion.
