While sponsorships, just as cuff links or bow ties, may sound these days like sadly forgotten social graces, we will always count on the British not to forget their etiquette.
The British Fashion Council (BFC) has in fact just announced today the names of the four menswear designers who have been awarded Fashion Forward sponsorship to show at the inaugural London Collections: Men in June.

Addressing for the first time a group of menswear designers, the Fashion Forward sponsorship will grant them access to business support provided by the BFC as well as a cash prize to assist in showing their spring/summer 2013 collections.
From their profile pages on the BFC's website, they promise collections inspired by the likes of Peter Blake, Josef Albers, explorer Wilfred Thesiger and Emperor Haile Selassie, Kung Fu cowboys or the colour and wildlife of Ethiopia. And with Savile Row just a couple of blocks over and the promising approval of the Council, we have no doubt that they will be outstanding.
