Dear Diane, dear Shaded Viewers,
It's Feb 29th, 2012, 12:01a.m here in Hong Kong. If 2012 really is the end of the world, well, at least we have one extra day to live. I find this day is very interesting because one of my best friends, Alex, was born on Feb 29th, 1980. Finally we can celebrate his birthday again! And as I was searching "leap year" on wikipedia, I found these interesting facts:
"Since 1990 non-retroactively, Hong Kong considers the legal birthday of a leapling March 1 in common years:[17]
- The time at which a person attains a particular age expressed in years shall be the commencement of the anniversary corresponding to the date of his birth.
- Where a person has been born on 29 February in a leap year, the relevant anniversary in any year other than a leap year shall be taken to be 1 March.
- This section shall apply only where the relevant anniversary falls on a date after the date of commencement of this Ordinance."
I can't believe the city that I am living in right now has a rule like this. Anyway, in my opinion, everyday is a speacial day to me. I am just very grateful to be living in this world. I hope everyone can always be happy and healthy.
